Checked against Perfect World's FAQs and September 29 patch notes, Steam and the US App Store on November 2, 2026. This is a documentary overview.
What kind of game is Neverness to Everness?

Neverness to Everness combines supernatural investigations with everyday city exploration. The official launch introduction places you with Eibon, an antique shop whose crew accepts commissions involving Anomalies. Those cases give the urban setting its story framework.
The city also supplies activities beyond those cases. The publisher's Steam description describes vehicle customization, homes you can decorate, neighborhood shops and relationships with other residents. The coastal station pictured here shows the quieter side of that setting; Hethereau includes more than its neon downtown.
Think of the game in three parts: investigate a case, explore the surrounding city, then choose side activities. That is an orientation to its systems, rather than a recommended daily schedule. The city-and-supernatural combination is the starting point if you are deciding what sort of RPG to explore.
Where can you play Neverness to Everness, and on what hardware?
NTE supports Windows PC, Mac, iOS, Android and PlayStation 5, including PS5 Pro, according to its April 27 launch FAQ. Perfect World's July 8 storefront FAQ additionally documents Steam, Epic Games Store and Samsung Galaxy Store releases.
On Windows, compare your machine with the requirements for your intended client. Steam's listing, checked November 2, specifies 16 GB RAM, an Intel Core i7-10700 and a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5600 among its minimum options. Its recommended line includes 32 GB RAM, an i7-12700 and an RTX 3060 or RX 6700. These are published requirements, not measured performance promises.
Steam currently lists 110 GB of available space. The July FAQ's 70 GB figure belongs to that older document; it should not be treated as today's Steam requirement. Neither figure measures download traffic. Check the current client before allocating space, including any room it requests for unpacking.
Mac appears in the launch FAQ and November 2 App Store listing. That does not establish a Windows-equivalent Mac specification. Likewise, a mobile download does not prove that every phone can run it.
What should a new player do first in Neverness to Everness?
Choose your server and record your login provider before building progress. The launch FAQ names four independent servers: Asia, America, Europe and SEA. It says progress is separate between them, and recommends the closest region for responsiveness.
Use the same game account and server when moving between devices. The July storefront FAQ says existing accounts can carry progress into Steam and Epic, while accounts created through different third-party logins remain separate. A familiar display name alone is therefore a poor account checklist.
Do this first:
- Record the server you selected.
- Record whether you registered through email or a particular third-party provider.
- On another device, confirm both before assuming that missing progress was deleted.
Common mistake: treating cross-platform progress as permission to change servers. These are different account questions. This checklist addresses that distinction; combat builds and opening routes are separate progression questions.
What changed in the current Neverness to Everness version?
The US App Store lists version 1.4.0 as of November 2. Perfect World's September 29 notes describe Version 1.4, For Whom the Verses Mourn, scheduled to go live after September 30 maintenance.
The update introduced Pukaland, St. Arbor and the main story episode The Witch. Its notes require completing Fogden Game before that episode. They also describe the accessories system and multiplayer for Volley Star. These items explain the update's scope without turning this overview into an event calendar.
Limited rewards need a separate check. The Blackbird and returning Lacrimosa boards in those notes ended October 21 at 05:59 UTC+8; they are historical update content, not current pull recommendations. A store's unchanged patch description can still mention an expired board.
If you are returning, check in-game notices before committing resources to any event in older notes. A version number identifies a client release; it does not extend a banner deadline or prove a collaboration reward remains obtainable.
How does its city compare with fantasy open worlds?

NTE places supernatural adventures among modern streets, shops and transport, while Genshin Impact centers its journey on Teyvat's fantasy world. Our Genshin Impact game overview maps that alternative's exploration and elemental combat. Start with the setting you want to navigate; neither setting alone settles a detailed comparison of the games.
Frequently asked questions
Is Neverness to Everness free to download?
Yes. Steam lists it as free to play, and the US App Store lists it as free with in-app purchases, checked November 2. Free entry does not include every item or character.
Which platforms support NTE?
The launch FAQ names Windows PC, Mac, iOS, Android and PS5. The later storefront FAQ documents Steam and Epic on PC and Samsung Galaxy Store on supported devices.
Does progress transfer between servers?
No. Perfect World's FAQ says the four servers keep separate progress. Cross-platform account access requires the correct account and server.
Which NTE version does the US App Store list?
It lists 1.4.0 on November 2, 2026. Check game notices for event availability rather than assuming every item in that release's description remains active.
If you only do one thing: write down your login provider and server before switching devices.
What changed: November 2, 2026 — rebuilt the overview, refreshed source checks and separated expired character boards from the version summary.
