About GameSelecto
GameSelecto exists to answer one question: is this worth your time and money?
Last updated October 4, 2026
The promise
Find the game worth your time. There is no shortage of games and gear. There is a shortage of honest answers about which ones deserve the hours and the money you have. GameSelecto researches, ranks and compares so that you can decide in minutes instead of evenings.
What we publish
- Reviews — research-based assessments: a clear verdict, the sources behind it, and a statement of what was and was not tested.
- Rankings — best-of lists ranked against criteria we state up front.
- Comparisons — two options in, one named winner out.
- Guides — the answer in the first paragraph, the detail after, including setup guides for PC and hardware.
- News — only what changes whether something is worth your time.
Who writes it
Articles are published by the GameSelecto editorial desk and signed with five pen names, one for each category. They are names of the desk, not the names or biographies of individual players, and they carry no claim about hours played, accounts, rank or career. The desk is reachable at the address below.
- Maya Castillo — News. Patch notes, banners, events and announcements, with sources linked and rumors labeled.
- Ethan Hollis — Guides. What to do first and in what order, including PC settings and setup guides.
- Grant Whitaker — Reviews. Research-based assessments of whether a game is worth your time and money.
- Jordan Pierce — Comparisons. Head-to-head comparisons that name a winner and say who should pick the other option.
- Cole Brennan — Rankings. Tier lists and best-of lists ranked against stated criteria.
How we stay honest
- No verdict is ever sold, and no coverage is ever paid for.
- Affiliate commissions never change a verdict. See the affiliate disclosure.
- Every factual claim carries a source. Rumor is labeled as rumor, in the body of the text.
- We do not publish a measurement, a price or a play time we have not verified.
- We never present research as hands-on testing. Our current game assessments say what they rest on.
The full rules are in our editorial policy, and the method is on how we test.
