At a glance
Infinity Kingdom vs Rise of Kingdoms is a choice between two ongoing city-building strategy games. Start with the decisions you want to make.
The short answer: Pick Rise of Kingdoms for redirecting troops on a shared map; pick Infinity Kingdom for Immortal-and-dragon formation planning. Checked Nov. 4, 2026: their original US iOS listings date to September 2018 and January 2021, roughly eight and six years ago. Neither is a fixed campaign with a verified maximum completion time; an alliance goal matters more than “finishing everything.”
Launch history: Apple’s US metadata for Rise of Kingdoms gives Sept. 20, 2018. Infinity’s US listing gives Jan. 27, 2021; the YOOZOO mobile launch announcement republished by AWN China names Jan. 28. Those are separate listing and announced-release scopes. Infinity’s Steam arrival on July 1, 2021 is later again.
Infinity Kingdom or Rise of Kingdoms at a glance

Rise of Kingdoms wins for a reader who wants map movement and alliance positioning to drive the choice. Infinity Kingdom wins for someone more interested in arranging a fantasy formation around elemental relationships.
| Decision | Infinity Kingdom | Rise of Kingdoms | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team-building theme | Immortals, elements and dragons | Historical commanders and civilizations | Infinity for fantasy formations |
| Map-control attraction | A kingdom world with PvE and PvP | Explicitly redirectable troop movements | Rise for open-map command |
| City layer | Rebuilding, training and development | City and civilization development | Tie: both are persistent projects |
| Exploration framing | Scouts investigate ruins | Scouts uncover fog and map sites | Tie: choose the setting |
| Social commitment | MMO and online PvP listed | Detailed alliance territory and coordination | Rise for that documented focus |
| Original listing history | US iOS January 2021 | US iOS September 2018 | Rise for the older history |
| Spending comparison | Optional purchases | Optional purchases | Tie: no equal-budget result verified |
The city illustration groups its workshops and training grounds around a central stone keep. It is not a Rise of Kingdoms city or evidence that the two economies have equal costs.
How do formations, map play and time commitment differ?

Infinity Kingdom is the better fit for elemental formation planning. Rise of Kingdoms is the clearer recommendation for directing movement on a shared map. Neither distinction establishes a universal winner for spending or daily time.
Which decisions should drive your choice?
The edge goes to Infinity Kingdom for formation fantasy. YOUZU’s official site describes arranging Immortals by troop type, element and position. Its Steam description connects matching elemental dragons with unit buffs and describes scouts investigating ruins.
Pick that package if the relationship among your characters, troops and dragon interests you. That is not a claim that any one formation is currently optimal. No damage ranking or required premium lineup is established here.
Edge: Infinity for that formation-focused profile.
Rise of Kingdoms wins the open-map command round. Lilith’s US App Store description says troops can receive new orders and join battles on the map. Its Google Play description details alliance markers, territory and coordinated objectives.
The city illustration reflects a development theme, not a live alliance battle. Choose the game for its documented movement tools if that battlefield role appeals. This does not establish that Infinity lacks every similar action.
Edge: Rise for redirectable map play.
How should you compare the time investment?
Treat both as continuing commitments. As of the check date, Infinity has about five years and nine months of mobile history; RoK has about eight years and one month. Those ages are not your account age, your server’s age or a measure of current opponents’ strength.
The useful question is what you want to maintain: a formation, a city, an alliance role or a particular event goal. Decide what “enough progress” means before comparing two endless-sounding task lists. There is no verified common endpoint or defensible hours-per-day winner in these sources.
Edge: Tie on a quantified time-saving claim.
Which PC route and spending model should you trust?
Check the actual distributor before attaching an existing account. Infinity’s Epic listing names R2 Games, dates that release Feb. 18, 2025 and specifies Epic ID or R2 Games ID. That is not proof that GTarcade, Steam and R2 accounts share progress.
Free entry also does not settle competitive spending pressure. No equal-budget account comparison, current purchase basket or progression experiment was performed. Neither game gets an affordability win by assumption.
Edge: Neither without checking the client and your account.
Which strategy game should you start?
Choose Rise of Kingdoms if map command and alliance positioning are your main reasons to play. Infinity remains the better recommendation when a fantasy formation is the project you actually want to develop.
- Pick Rise for moving forces and coordinating territory. The Rise of Kingdoms guide to cities and alliances connects those choices with city development.
- Pick Infinity for Immortals and elemental dragons. The Infinity Kingdom formation and city overview maps its systems without promising client compatibility.
- Keep the budget decision separate. A preferred theme does not justify a purchase whose purpose you cannot yet explain.
How we compared them: current publisher/store descriptions and scoped historical dates checked Nov. 4, 2026. No personal playtest, population measurement or paid progression test is claimed.
If your priority is a fantasy formation, Infinity Kingdom. Everyone choosing primarily for shared-map command: Rise of Kingdoms.
